Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the My Personal Prompt Engineer web application, available at mypersonalpromptengineer.com (the "Service"), operated as a personal project by the individual developer ("we," "us"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility — 18+ Only

You must be at least 18 years of age (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater) to use the Service. By accessing it you confirm you meet this requirement. The Service is not directed at and may not be used by anyone under 13; we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

2. AI-Generated Output — Disclaimer

All outputs are generated by an artificial intelligence system (OpenAI). They may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or otherwise unsuitable for your intended use. Do not rely on them without independent review.

You expressly acknowledge that:

Outputs are produced by OpenAI's language models, not by a human expert.
AI models can produce "hallucinations" — content that is plausible-sounding but factually incorrect or misleading.
Outputs may reflect biases present in the model's training data.
Nothing produced by the Service constitutes legal, medical, financial, or any other form of professional advice.
You are solely responsible for evaluating and deciding how to use any output, and for ensuring such use complies with all applicable laws and third-party rights.

3. Your Responsibility for Inputs

You are solely responsible for any text you submit to the Service ("Input Content"). By submitting Input Content you represent that:

You own or have sufficient rights to the content you submit.
Your Input Content does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any third party.
Your Input Content does not contain material that is illegal, harmful, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise in violation of applicable law or third-party terms (including OpenAI's Usage Policies).

We reserve the right to suspend access for any user who we reasonably believe is submitting harmful or unlawful content.

4. "As-Is" Availability — No Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND — EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY, OR ACCURACY OF AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS.

This is a personal project operated without a formal SLA. The Service may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued at any time without notice.

5. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY AI-GENERATED OUTPUT — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

Some jurisdictions do not permit exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the minimum extent permitted by law.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service's software, design, and system prompts are our property. You retain ownership of your Input Content. We make no ownership claim over AI-generated outputs returned to you. Be aware that the copyright status of purely AI-generated content is legally unsettled; we make no representations about whether any specific output is protectable by copyright.

7. Changes & Termination

We may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version at mypersonalpromptengineer.com/terms-of-use. Continued use after the updated effective date constitutes acceptance. We may terminate or restrict your access at any time for any reason. Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 survive termination.
